利物浦大學（University of Liverpool）是全英國「羅素集團」Russell Group的一員。大學有2.3萬多註冊學生，其中1.8萬左右為全職學生。大學在藝術和科學方面有非常廣泛的教育和研究系統，其龐大的醫學院與皇家利物浦大學醫院合作。據《星期日泰晤士報》Sunday Times的排名利物浦大學是英國第29強的大學。對於排名很在意的同學，來英國留學可以好好考慮這間學校。

昔日利物浦市是英國著名的製造業中心，今日該市雖然已經失去了大部分製造業基礎，仍是英格蘭的核心城市之一。該市最為著名的是音樂（披頭四樂隊）與足球（有兩支參加英超聯的球會——愛華頓和利物浦）。
和英國其他城市一樣，這裏的服務業有了巨大的發展，它擁有數家大型顧客服務中心，而部分港口亦改作通訊設施。

設備
利物浦大學（University of Liverpool）擁有兩個主要圖書館，共藏有 150 萬冊圖書和期刊，還有學習場所和聯網電腦、光碟資料庫以及多媒體設施。 電腦中心遍佈校園，為學生提供免費上網和電子郵件服務。 學校體育中心擁有一個 33 米的室內游泳場，一個內有 4 個羽毛球場的運動館，也可用於足球、籃球、曲棍球、無擋板籃球、排球、網球、健美操和拳擊訓練班，一個重量訓練館、3 個壁球場、一面九米室內登山牆、心血管系統鍛煉設備和兩個日光浴床。 Liverpool 大學擁有 74 英畝室外運動場地，其中包括兩個泛光燈照明的人工草坪運動場、14 個草地運動場（其中 6 個為足球場，4 個可用於本校和聯盟賽的橄欖球場，2 個曲棍球場和兩個長曲棍球場），另外還有 2 個板球場和 4 個網球場。
利物浦大學學生會是本校學生協會。學生會提供的服務包括娛樂活動和各種諮詢服務、技能訓練。學生會擁有商店、咖啡館、酒吧、理髮店、銀行、旅行社、快印店、眼鏡店、檯球室和一個本校學生會用來接待眾多國際樂團的劇場。這些資源都是在英國留學期間可以善用的。
住宿資訊
利物浦大學（University of Liverpool）可以滿足大多數學生的需求，學生可選擇在學生宿舍或校內外膳食自理的公寓居住，基本上所有留學生都能分配到校舍。學生有單獨的房間，如果需要還可以有單獨的衛生間。廚房和餐廳公用。此外，學校也可以安排家庭住宿。
