羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University，簡稱LU）位於英格蘭萊斯特郡（Leicestershire）的羅孚堡鎮。羅孚堡大學在泰晤士報2007大學排名中位列第六。羅孚堡大學獲得過5次「女王周年獎」Queen's Anniversary Prize，同時保持這一記錄的只有牛津大學。

羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University）要回溯到1909年, 當時位於英國中部偏東的 Loughborough成立了一小型工業機構，從１９６６ 年起 Loughborough就有了大學的成立。Loughborough城市距離三各主要城市 Derby、Nottingham和Leicester為半個小時車程或搭乘火車二十分鐘就可到達。

羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University）約有12000名全讀的學生，國際學生佔約10%，來自將近100個不同的國家，其中有60位來自台灣。因此在英國留學期間，可以交到許多外國的朋友。

羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University）前身是創立於1909 年的Loughborough學院，於 １９６６ 年升為大學。學校離市中心和火車站很近，擁有茂密樹木與花園的校區是英國最美的校園之一。

羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University）為中英格蘭萊斯特郡的一個城鎮。2004年的資料顯示人口為57,600，為全國城鎮之最。它是Charnwood區的行政中心而羅孚堡大學位在該地區。

該鎮擁有世界上最大的鳴鐘鑄造廠，鑄造工John Taylor ，模鑄了紀念Carillon戰爭的鳴鐘，現為鎮上的地標。

羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University）有規劃完善的大眾運輸工具 附近有 East Midlands 機場，距離倫敦也只是一個半小時的火車車程。對英國留學的學生來說，交通方便。Loughborough是一個繁榮的城市，四周有 Charnwood森林圍繞著。

任何學生需要的從商店到醫中心都設在校園內。每一位新生入學前都會收到一本手冊，建議學生如何準備行囊。另外有免費的巴士車在學生抵達西斯路機場 (Heathrow Airport) 後會送學生到 Loughborough 大學。

學期前的英語課程除了提供英語教學和實用的協助外，並且會建議學生如何適應在英國的生活起居及讀書學校有許多項支援免費提供給學生，例如，醫療中心，全年的英語支援，學生諮詢中心，工作交換，不同的宗教團體及崇拜時須具備的設施，國際學生諮商辦公室，國際學生組織提供社會生活支援。總之，學校有112種社團組織，是由學生自己組織起來也由學生自己管理。並且成為全國最有活力的學生社團之一。

羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University）以全方位的運動設施名聞全英國，也協助培養出許多有國際觀的運動人才。學校提供了一些運動獎學金及公費供海外學生申請。

羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University）大型圖書館有超過六百萬冊書籍，而且備有連接其他資源的電子設備。電腦設備免費提供學生24小時全天使用，全面網路架構包括宿舍在內。這些資源都是在英國留學期間可以善用的。

羅孚堡大學（Loughborough University）自炊設施是全英國價格最經濟實惠的前三名之一。學校並且保證海外學生入學的第一年一定會有宿舍。校舍可以滿足大多數學生的需求，學生可選擇在學生宿舍或校內外膳食自理的公寓居住，基本上所有留學生都能分配到校舍。學生有單獨的房間，如果需要還可以有單獨的衛生間。廚房和餐廳公用。此外，學校也可以安排家庭住宿。

羅孚堡大學官方建議，為負擔一整年支出（含住宿、膳食、書籍、消遣等），國際學生需預備至少英鎊7,950的經費。

課程介紹:
學校分為三大系所; 工程學, 科學和社會科學, 人類學. 在2002 年八月的 Times Higher Education Supplement 全英國大學最佳教學品質評比榮獲第五名. 在2002年Times Good University Guide 全英國大學學校整體評比排名第十四. 學校在過去六年間贏得三項 Queen's Anniversary 獎項.

在課程進行期間學校提供許多英國或英國以外國家的實習機會給本國或海外學生. 而且超過60%的Loughborough 大學部科系, 學生畢業後都能順利找到工作.

在商學院和電腦科學系為其他科系畢業的大學畢業生設有一系列一年期碩士課程其中包括轉接課程. 而營建物專案管理, 媒體研究, 資訊管理, 人類工作(工程)學, 是 Loughborough 大學裡許多傑出的教學和研究課程中的一部份.
